The other morning I woke up at 3:45, and couldn’t get back to sleep. I was feeling alone, unsure of when I was actually going to be able to interact face-to-face with other humans again.
That’s when I turned to a meditation using Dan Siegel’s Wheel of Awareness, and that panic and feeling of being alone dissipated. I could feel what it is to connect to the best and the light of the world, and remember how it feels to be close to someone who has given me a gift.
Then I could relax and fall back to sleep.
I’d like to share that meditation now as a gift for all of you, in the midst of so much uncertainty.
Even in this time when we can’t connect the way we would like to with others, we have many ways to stay grounded to a sense of belonging and affiliation. I hope you'll find this meditation useful.
Peace, light, and health,
Mary
